News from our archive… 1971 • The summer of 1971, as reported in the pages of Cage & Aviary Birds, celebrated the many positive items coming via clubs and societies, from a must-have club handbook to a societyfunded aviary on the grounds of the since knocked-down Black Notley Hospital. The site was soon snapped up by a housing developer in the early 2000s for 350 houses
